We’re so excited to host a fall getaway for families with children in our beautiful Northwoods! There will be family fun – PLUS time to connect with other adults while your children enjoy all the offerings of Camp Tekakwitha under the watchful eye of camp counselors. The details are below! HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY
For the Whole Family:
- An icebreaker, scavenger hunt, and other fun activities for families to connect and bond together.
- Plenty of food and snacks including a light breakfast with coffee and a delicious lunch. Come hungry!
For the Adults:
- Local author and blogger Amy Betters-Midtvedt (St. Mary parishioner) presents a talk titled You’ll Make It, and They Will Too: Finding Hope and Navigating Faith in the Midst of Parenthood.
- Following Amy’s keynote session, adults are invited to participate in a Q&A session with the author, a panel discussion on parenting and faith, and fun breakout sessions such as bourbon tasting, games, wine and cheese pairing, a nature walk, and more!
For the Kids:
- Camp programing hosted by Camp Tekakwitha counselors for kids ages 4-17 (littles must be potty-trained)
- Free babysitting with fun activities for toddlers ages 1-3; staffed by VIRTUS trained adults & high school student volunteers
- Children under the age of 1 are welcome, but we ask that you keep them with you throughout the day. A private space will be provided for nursing mothers.
