The Music Ministry at St. Mary speaks to our hearts and is integral and necessary part our our Parish life and worship. You are invited to join the many who already give of themselves to continue the outstanding tradition here at St. Mary. The various opportunities that comprise the music ministry are as follows:

Cantor/Songleader: Leads the singing for assembly at weekend liturgies. Should be welcoming and able to encourage assembly to sing. Scheduled on a rotating basis.

Commentator (When a cantor is not available and or the Adult Choir leads the music): Read opening announcements and invites congregation to join in singing.

Adult Choir: Normally sings at the 11 a.m. Mass and special liturgies from September-May. Practice Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. in the St. Anne Room. Parishioners interested in singing welcome.

Emmanuel Choir: Normally sings at 9:30 a.m. Mass. Practices Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. in LL5. Parishioners with singing or instrumental talents welcome.

Children’s Choir: All youth in grades 2-6 with an interest in singing are welcome. The goal is to sing at one weekend Mass per month.

Resurrection Choir: Provides music for funeral Masses. Parishioners with singing abilities welcome.

Handbell Choir: Provides handbell music at various liturgies throughout the year. Practice Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in church September -May. Parishioners with ability to read music, good arm mobility and rhythmic sense are welcome.

Instrumentalist: Students in middle school through college and adult share their gift by playing an instrument at Mass (flute, oboe, guitar, organ, piano, strings, or other instruments).
