May 14: Day by Day with Father Bill
Friends,
I ask you to join me in prayer over these next nine days as we petition the Holy Spirit to be our Advocate and Guide as we prepare for our Parish Family Synod on the Eve of Pentecost, Saturday, May 22. Just as the disciples gathered in the Upper Room, with Mary, the Mother of the Church, in their midst, and waited for the coming in power of the Holy Spirit, so, we do the same, trusting that the same Spirit’s coming among us will bring about a powerful renewal in our parish family, all for the Greater Glory of God.

Let love be sincere…Rejoice in hope, endure in affliction, persevere in faith. Contribute to the needs of the holy ones, exercise hospitality…Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful family at St. Mary Parish and kindle in us the fire of your love. Enflame our hearts with a reverence for You, and guide us in discerning what it is You desire us to do in your Name. Accompany us on our Synodal Path. Give us Your Precious Gift of Piety so we can recognize our belonging to God, our deep bond with God, a relationship that gives meaning to our whole life and keeps us resolute, in communion with God, even during the most difficult and troubling moments (Pope Francis). May we grow in love for all of our sisters and brothers.
