MEMORIAL OF SAINT FRANCIS XAVIER, PRIEST AND MISSIONARY

I invite you to join me in praying this prayer which I have composed for this Advent Season.

On these holy Advent days,
as the days shorten
and our hearts are tossed about
we turn to You,
Jesus, the Light of the World.

You are our Hope!
No matter what our troubles
You promise to accompany us
and to make all manner of things well.

You are our Love!
No matter if we cannot feel You close
You promise to become our flesh
to be with us, for us, and in us.

You are our Joy!
No matter the sadness that overwhelms us
You promise to lift our spirits
with your bright smile.

You are our Peace!
No matter the divisions that dishearten us
You promise to bring us
healing and harmony.

May we always trust that You, Jesus,
can transform our restless hearts
into a dwelling place
still enough to feel your heart beating there.

Come, Lord Jesus!
Do not delay!
