Discussion Questions

  1. What would Isaiah’s peaceable kingdom look like in my world? What steps could I take this Advent to move toward this place in my life?
  2. As a person who has been Entrusted, what prejudices do I need to let go of to help bring about the peaceable kingdom described in Isaiah?
  3. How can I come to understand diversity as a promise instead of a threat?
  4. My reaction to the word “repentance” is? Can I recall a time when I repented?

Living Connected

Simply ways to keep the message alive during the week:

  • Post notes of today’s Scripture in visible places as a reminder to be a person of acceptance and peace (in your car, on the TV during the news, while chatting with friends who might be gossiping).
  • Learn something new about a culture you’re unfamiliar with (perhaps one that you see on the news) that you feel you may have prejudged.
