Advent Homily Series: Entrusted 1 of 4

First Sunday of Advent, December 1, 2019.

IS 2:1-5  |  ROM 13:11-14 |  MT 24:37-44

Discussion Questions:

  1. How often have I had good intentions to respond to what Jesus is asking of me (go to get the glass of water) and I am caught in the good and the challenging dramas of my life?
  2. How have I compartmentalized Jesus (just Church on Sunday)? How do I live my life connected to Him? Am I able to feel Jesus’ presence and hear his voice in all circumstances?
  3. What habit could I start this Advent that would be a reminder of God/Jesus’ presence in my daily life?
  4. In my mind and heart, what does Jesus’ Kingdom look like?
  5. For me, what does being connected to Jesus have to do with being entrusted to bring about His Kingdom in my generation?
